Progress for Our Contractors: CARE

To get ahead in this industry, it’s not enough to build roofs. Contractors need to build hands-on skills, product knowledge, business expertise, and much more. That’s why we offer a wide range of learning opportunities through GAF’s Center for Advancement of Roofing Excellence (CARE) — to help contractors build successful businesses. Our CARE team is made up of more than 30 deeply experienced roofing professionals who are committed to providing English- and Spanish-language roofing industry training and support for businesses. Understanding that people learn differently, GAF developed its CARE training to accommodate a variety of learning styles. In addition to in person training, a robust, online learning portal offers training on products, installation, sales, marketing, and general business best practices that participants can watch at their own pace.

Progress for Our Design Professionals

The architect and design community can turn to GAF for comprehensive support from day one of their commercial projects. GAF offers architects comprehensive field services, technical support, and architectural services through the GAF Design Services team. These technical and building science professionals wield their expertise to help architects design the best-performing roofing system for any building without compromising on style.

The goal of Design Services is to essentially combine all three of those tasks into one large service team that assists architects, engineers, specifiers, consultants, sales reps, and contractors. From the moment someone says they need a new roof, we are there throughout the entire process, all the way until the end of that roof guarantee.

GAF also launched the Designer's Collective to further prioritize the design community's needs. The three-day event in New Jersey brought 11 of the East Coast's most influential architects and design consultants together with GAF department leaders. The intimate forum allowed the design community to express needs and concerns directly to GAF and give real-time feedback on existing GAF resources for architects and specifiers.

When we know exactly what architects need, we can save them time. That's the difference between service and hospitality. Making our customer important enough that we center their needs in the equation.
