Maintaining a Healthy and Safe Work Environment

At GAF, we want to finish each day with zero injuries. Environmental excellence also continues to be one of our most important stated objectives. We have made progress toward both of these initiatives by implementing a comprehensive, multi-faceted Environmental Management System, eliminating discharge, where feasible, and investing in Best Available Control Technologies for our process controls.

Our EHS program supports responsible business activities such as:

• Enhancing our life-critical safety programs • Implementing an innovative safety communication process • Investing major capital to integrate:

- Safety control technology for machinery and processes - Decreased risk of falls from elevated work surfaces - Material handling improvements - Installation of improved exhaust ventilation and vacuum systems

• Implementation of controls to reduce or eliminate vehicle-pedestrian incidents • Adding a comprehensive EHS Enterprise System to better manage information and data

In 2021, we achieved exceptional safety performance. GAF employees worked over 6 million hours without suffering a lost workday due to injury during the year.
