About the Twain Harte School

Unique solutions required for each roof resulted in four separate technologies installed on one relatively small project.

The challenge

Timing added to the challenge of installing multiple GAF products with different base technologies. Additionally, a portable building with a metal roof had a leak, causing some rot in the deck underneath.

The solution

The contractor integrated shingles on the outer exposures, and applied coatings on the flat inner section of the main roof, as well as the free standing gym roof. A small remote building had a failing BUR that required removal, which was replaced with a self-adhered BUR.

The shingles on the outside slopes look great, and the coated areas are seen from the road above. Both give the buildings a much needed facelift. GAF and the contractor provided us with great confidence to install this roof system.
